Introduction to the Handbook of ESG Transformation

On this website - ESGTransformation.com - we will categorise and share the main interpretations of the ESG concept in the Handbook for ESG Strategy & Transformation. On this page we will declare what interpretationis used to develop this website, as ESG is the main subject to talk about strategy and transformation. For this matter we will make clear how we work with the broader concept sustainable development.

In short its comes down to this:

  1. Sustainable development is a movement towards a steady state (or a sustainable situation) for human life on earth.
  2. The circular economy is the engine that directs this movement.
  3. People are the green skilled operators to fuel this engine.

ESG from this perspective is nothing else than a concept to measure whether the economy is moving in the right direction. ESG as a benchmark is a way to value and evaluate sustainable development. For businesses to anticipate ESG for example because of CSRD or own motivation, it is therefore important to work with an ESG strategy framework.

ESRS and FEST

For CSRD compliance needs it is very clear that the guidelines prescribe to work with the ESRS reporting standard. FEST (Framework for ESG Strategy and Transformation) is a framework to assist in the development of an ESG strategy. FEST builds upon ESRS to make sure that compliance data can be used to provide data driven management to ESG performance.

To assist companies with CSRD this website also offers a CSRD Guide
